We expect to see the Green Energy Act regulations announced in the next two weeks. According to the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure:
Over the next several weeks, the Ontario government will take ten important steps to bring the Green Energy Act to life. These milestones will help transition the province to electricity generated from green energy, which will create jobs and open investment opportunities in Ontario’s green economy.
The first three steps were announced last week: accelerating the shutdown of four coal-fired electrical generation units, and two programs to assist Aboriginal communities with renewable energy.
