Settlement Notice:
Settlements have been reached with some of the defendants in some of the Vitamins class actions across Canada. This settlement has concluded and all claims have been paid.
This class action concerns the conspiracy among certain manufacturers to fix the price at which niacin and niacinamide (vitamin B3) ("niacin") were sold in Canada and worldwide from at least about January, 1992 to March, 1998.
Niacin and niacinamide are water soluble, colourless crystalline powders. They are sold in both human and animal nutrition industries and are necessary ingredients for the growth and development of both humans and animals.
