On July 26, about 90 people gathered in Clinton, Ontario, for an enthusiastic public meeting of the Friends of Wind, a group of volunteers dedicated to counteracting “anti-wind” advocacy.
Meanwhile, the Ontario Power Authority has offered FIT contract holders the right to have OPA waive its power to cancel their contracts. This reduces the risk that the contracts would be cancelled if there is a change of government this fall, and encourages investment in Ontario green energy projects, including wind.
