About
Caroline is in charge of our affiliated office Siskinds, Desmeules in Québec City, where she has been practicing since 1998.
Caroline graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Laval University where she obtained an LL. B. in 1996. She was called to the Québec Bar in 1997. Of note, during the swearing in Ceremony, she was awarded the Québec Lieutenant-Governor’s Award. This distinction was for the excellence of her academic results, for her perseverance and determination, as well as her commitment to social and community life during her academic and professional training.
Caroline’s practice is primarily focused on the areas of professional responsibility and class actions. She acts in defense for the professional liability insurer of the Chambre des notaires du Québec, for Eastern Quebec, in particular. In addition to her main practice in liability, she is involved in various large-scale class actions where she acts in demand. These various cases have led her to plead successfully on numerous occasions both before the courts of first instance and before the Court of Appeal.
She gives various conferences on insurance, liability and class actions to her clients, colleagues, at the National Conference on Class Action and at the Canadian Bar Association (Class Actions section).
Since September 2018, she has participated as an invited member of the Class Actions Committee of the Barreau du Québec.
