Preston Manning, pillar of Canadian conservatism, called today for all Canadian governments to build a sustainable Canada by relying heavily on pricing. Water should cost more, especially where it is scarce, as in southern Alberta. And the urgency of climate change should be met, now, with carbon pricing.
Now that Manning has reached this point, can federal Conservatives deny the issue for much longer? Imagine if Manning had said this during the last election!
Young Canadians are way ahead of us on this, Manning told the Empire Club today. They see Canada, he said, as a partnership between the people and the land.
