This medal is awarded to a select few lawyers who have made a significant contribution to the profession.  The award is given for outstanding service within the profession where the service is in accordance with the highest ideals of the legal profession.

Originally struck in 1985, the Law Society Medal has been awarded to just over 100 lawyers.   This year six Ontario lawyers will receive the Medal at a special ceremony on May 23, 2012.
